The Honorable Lawrence Bergman
Topic: A Jewish Minister in Québec City
 A unique perspective of being not only the only Jew in parliament but a proud Jew and Cabinet Minister with unfettered access in the halls of power.
Lawrence Bergman obtained a Law Degree from University of Montreal in 1964 and was admitted to the Board of Notaries in 1965.
Lawrence was elected as the Member of the National Assembly for D’Arcy McGee in the general provincial election on September 12, 1994. He was re-elected in the provincial elections of November 30, 1998; April 14, 2003; March 26, 2007; December 8,2008; and September 4,2012.
Lawrence was named Minister of Revenue of the Province of Quebec on April 29,2003.
In 2007 Lawrence was named Chair of the Government Caucus.
On October 21, 1991 Lawrence introduced Bill 198 in The National Assembly, an Act to Proclaim Holocaust/Yom Hashoah Memorial Day in Quebec. This bill was subsequently adopted unanimously by the National Assembly.
In 1999 Lawrence was awarded the Jerusalem Award by the Mayor of Jerusalem, The World Zionist Organization and The Canadian Zionist Federation Eastern Region in recognition of his outstanding dedication and service to the State of Israel and the Jewish Community.
In 2012 The Jewish General Hospital presented the Distinguished Service Award to Lawrence. This award is the hospital’s highest honour, which is presented each year to an individual who has had a profound impact on the development of the hospital.
In 2013 Lawrence was the recipient of the Medal of Honour of the Chambre des Notaires du Quebec in recognition of his exceptional contribution to the profession.
In the year 2014 Lawrence was named an honorary member of the Board of Notaries of the Province of Quebec.

Chana Carlebach
Topic: 'Stories of Yesteryear; Lessons of Inspiration for Today'

Chana Carlebach is the director of the center BMC in S. Agathe Quebec with thousands of students worldwide. She is a world renowned motivational speaker, certified coach, specializing in intimate relations with 33 years experience coaching new brides and couples. Her greatest passion is training Taharas Hamishpacha (Family Purity) teachers. She is currently developing a similar curriculum for men . Chana is the Rebbetzin of House of Israel Congregation with over 1000 families . The  protagonist in two documentaries Shekinah one, the intimate life of Jewish woman and Shekinah  TWO,  women leading the way in the new era. She received prestigious honours from Federation CJA in Montreal for excellence in education and community. Together with her husband she is most grateful to Hashem for her 13 children and grandchildren.
